Tour Botswana’s wild side on a Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo safari
Join Ron Glazier on an 11-day African safari to Botswana organized by the nonprofit Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo. Participants on the trip will explore the Makgadikgadi and Nxai national parks as well as the Okavango Delta.
Botswana, known for its diverse wildlife, is ideal for viewing rare, endangered wild dogs as well as lions, leopards, elephants and bird life.
Highlights also include night game runs and dugout canoe excursions. Accommodations are in secluded lodges and tented camps. Retired zoo director Glazier has led 23 safaris.
Dates: July 6-17
Price: $7,995 per person, double occupancy; $2,995 single supplement. Includes all meals, beverages and guides. International airfare not included. Optional pre-trip extension to Cape Town, South Africa, ($2,895) and post-trip extensions to Chobe National Park in Botswana and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for $3,595.
