Late night’s viral video push paid off with Webby nominations as”The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” received nods in prominent comedy categories on Tuesday.

The Webby Awards, administered by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, recognizes excellence in Internet culture, including videos, writing and social media.

“The Tonight Show” was nominated for best humor website alongside Funny or Die, ClickHole, Cracked and Fill the Silence.

Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets” was nominated for comedy, long form or series, alongside Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”; “If Google Was a Guy” on CollegeHumor; Zach Galifianakis’ “Between Two Ferns” interview with President Obama on Funny or Die; and “Kids React” on Fullscreen.

Kimmel’s prank video in which parents tell their children they ate all their Halloween candy was best viral video alongside “Tiny Hamster Eating Tiny Burritos” on Denizen, “Most Shocking Second a Day” by Don’t Panic, “We Got 20 Strangers Who Aren’t Models to Kiss Each Other” on Vice and “3 Seconds Cooking Shrimp Frying Cannon” by TOKYU Agency.

This year’s top nominees include Vice Media, with 17 nominations, CollegeHumor with nine, Funny or Die with eight, the Guardian with seven, and Comedy Central and Mashable with six apiece.

The public can vote for all categories for the Webby Awards’ People’s Voice Awards, which includes all nominees. Votes can be cast and all nominees can be viewed online here.

The awards will be handed out in a ceremony in New York City hosted by comedian Hannibal Buress on May 18 and will be available online at webbyawards.com on the morning of May 19.
