Irish eyes were smiling Allentown's St. Patrick's Day Observation Society gathered a the Americus Hotel on March 18, 1962 to welcome the guest speaker of the day, former Philadelphia mayor Richardson Dilworth, seated second from right. Among those present were Dr. John H. " Jack " McHugh (seated on left, in foreground with checked shirt), now Lehigh County commissioner, and Harry A. Levine (standing at left), society secretary, who was its president from 1968 to 1970. The man in the derby and shamrocks at Dilworth's left was a popular Pennsylvania German humorist of the day known as " Professor Herman F. Schnitzel, the mayor of Turkey Hollow.
