Linda Luong

Age: 24

Hometown: Bethlehem

Performing: ''What a Feeling'' and ''Because You Loved Me''

You might know me from: Competing as Miss Moraine State (yes, the greater Pittsburgh area pageant is named for a geological feature) in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant last month.

The day job I''m not quitting yet: Teaching children with behavior disorders at KidsPeace, Fountain Hill.

Greatest asset: ''My vocal ability. Singing is something I thrive on.''

Biggest fear: ''How much time do you have?'' Fear of not taking a risk and regretting it later.

Mom and dad: Kim (a singer and cultural activity organizer in the Vietnamese community) and Tong Luong of Bethlehem.

First time I sang in public: ''When I was at Whitehall Middle School, at a concert, I did a solo of 'Right Here Waiting' by Richard Marx.''

How I'd describe my style: ''A pop singer. Celine Dion is someone I like a lot.''

What would Simon say: Oh my god! This is terrible! Hmm. I'm confident he wouldn't say anything bad about me … but I'm 24, and in the entertainment busness, I guess that's old. I think he'd say that. His opinions are kind of weird, anyway.''
