Bear Swamp County Park, Minsi Lake Dr., Upper Mount Bethel Twsp., 610-746-1978. The 245-acre county park includes seven miles of blazed hiking trails.

Beltzville State Park, 610-377-0045 for Hikes and Trails brochure. This 3000-acre state park offers scenic hiking on two trails.

Hugh Moore Park, off 25th St. and Lehigh Dr., Easton, 610-559-6613. Five-mile hiking/biking circuit.

Jacobsburg State Park, 835 Jacobsburg Rd., Wind Gap (Route 33 North to Belfast exit). Over 1100 acres of hiking, picnicking, fishing, biking, hunting and equestrian trails.

Kimmets Lock Park, Dauphin and Lloyd Sts., Allentown, 610-437-7628. Boat launch for motorized and non-motorized craft, fishing and hiking.

Nor-Bath Hiking Trail, Jacksonville Park and Savage Rd., Northampton, 610-746-1978. Biking, hiking, bird watching and nature study.

South Mountain Big Rock Park (Bauer Rock), Upper Saucon and Salisbury Twsps. Hiking.

Trexler-Lehigh County Game Preserve, Route 309, Schnecksville, 610-799-4171. Wildlife refuge, biking, hiking, fishing, picnicking and nature trail.

Wy-Hit-Tuk County Park, Route 611 (three miles south of Easton), 610-746-1978. Ballfields, canoe camping, picnicking, playground and walking trails.
