LANCASTER — Henry Edward Clark, 80, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday Dec. 28, 2011, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.  

Henry was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Reba Clark.

Born in Garrard County, he was a son of the late James and Ida Mae Clark. Henry retired from Matsushita after many years. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Garrard County Fire District 1, and a member of Freedom Baptist Church.  

Survivors include a son, Russ Clark of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Christy Nickell (Scotty) of Nicholasville; three brothers, Lucian Clark (Velma), Gordon Clark (Joyce), and John Clark (Carol), and a brother-in-law, Bob Ballard, all of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. 

Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Elliot Clark; three sisters, Louise Sherrow, Roberta Doolin and Dora Dean Ballard; three half brothers, Bill Clark, Jimmy T. Clark and Ike Clark; and two half sisters, Maude Ray and Sally Lou Meadows. 

Funeral services will be10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster, with Bro. Morris Trayner and Pastor Wendell Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be Robert Ballard, Randy Underwood, Jimmy Neat, Norman Davis, James Ed Clark and Lisa Clark. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Clark, Roger Walton, Bill Borden, Joe Naylor, Gary Hunter, David Hill, Robert Dean, Mike Poynter, Charlie Black, Collis Ray, Billy Ray and Harold Meadows. 

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today, Dec. 30, 2011 at Spurlin Funeral Home.
