SCIENCE HILL — Jack Mofield, 80, of Stanford, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at his home.
Born July 14, 1931, in King Bee, Ky., he was a son of the late Marion and Fonnie Dick Mofield. He was a farmer and a member of Mount Gilead Masonic Lodge No. 255.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Lloyd) Gastineau of Stanford and Annette (Randy) Burton of Eubank; six brothers and sisters, Lydia Dye of Fort Wayne, Ind., Doris (Don) Bailey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dene (Robert) Waddle of Lexington, N.C., Toy Lee (Bert) Hall of Science Hill, Patty (Jim) Albrecht of Franklin, Ohio, and Tom (Glenna) Mofield of Eubank; seven grandchildren, Misty (James) Shelton, Mindy (Troy) Gastineau, Richard (Kathy) Gastineau, Melissa (James) Hamilton, Ben Burton, Blake Burton and Brad Burton; two great-grandchildren, Shelby Shelton and Rafe Shelton; the mother of his children, Bina Jones; and caretaker, Julie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Arlene Vanhook; and brothers-in-law, Marcus Dye and Curtis Vanhook.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Johnie Waters officiating. Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today, today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. by Mount Gilead Masonic Lodge No. 255.
