Short Takes : Eden Ties the Knot for 3rd Time

Actress Barbara Eden, who gained fame in the 1960s NBC hit series “I Dream of Jeannie,” has married Los Angeles real estate developer Jon Eicholtz in a small ceremony.

About 35 guests attended Saturday’s wedding at Grace Cathedral, and a reception was held at the Fairmont Hotel, where the couple stayed overnight, publicist Curt King said. He said they planned to return to Eden’s Beverly Hills home and would take a longer honeymoon trip at a later date.

Eden is best known for her role as the enchanting, mischievous genie in the 1965-70 television series.

This is Eden’s third marriage and the second for Eicholtz, a widower. The actress was first married to actor Michael Ansara and they have a son, Matthew. Her second marriage was to advertising executive Charles Fegert.
