Called up to Camden Yards sooner than expected when Brian Matusz started the season on the disabled list, Britton, then the team's top pitching prospect, allowed 17 earned runs in his first 10 starts while posting a 5-2 record. His brilliance has faded slightly, but the lefty has been the surest thing in the Orioles rotation and should be a finalist for American League Rookie of the Year. The kid showed he can swing the bat, too.
