A few dozen folks stopped by Station North Arts Cafe Gallery, Friday evening, August 10, to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit there and meet a couple of well-known artists. Martha Cooper, famed street art and graffiti photographer, was there to discuss the exhibit of her photographs of the artists working on murals in the Open Walls Baltimore project. Cooper is a Baltimore native who now lives in New York City. Also on hand was Busy Bee -- considered one of the originators of hip-hop who now makes his home in Baltimore -- who performed at the event.
