Jones fell short in his bid for a second All-Star appearance in the "Final Vote" for the last American League roster spot -- Chicago fans voted Paul Konerko into the game -- but the Orioles center fielder was the team's most consistent all-around performer in the first half, putting all five tools on display. He was hitting .282 entering Friday, and his 13 home runs and 47 RBIs are second on the team. His defense has been superb.
