Is it any wonder why Donna Maykrantz, 51, won a prize for this outfit at an Ugly Sweater Party? The Finksburg real estate agent admits the invitation to the bash from Ed St. John and Rose Carpenter was also an invitation to go a little wild with the idea. Maykrantz went onto eBay to find the pink flamingo themed pullover, and then "spent hours" sewing on a blue feather boa trim to further uglify it. She added pink flamingo necklaces which she also found online. Then cheesy was out, and her usual "designer, sort of fashionista" style kicked in. Maykrantz added a pair of black leggings from White House/Black Market and a pair of black leather knee-high flat boots lined with rabbit fur and embellished with buckles that she'd bought at the Jimmy Choo store in New York City. Her Chanel bracelet came from Saks Fifth Avenue. "I like to mix up designer shoes and purses with lines like White House/Black Market, Alice & Olivia and Tory Burch." If this was your usual Saturday night, what would she be wearing? "Probably a pair of lace-up Burberry 5-inch heels and black pants and a tunic top, with a shorter leather or suede jacket that was a little edgy."
