The Orioles just completed a very difficult homestand that started with a six-game losing streak, which had everybody wondering if the pitching staff would be able to right itself before the club took a serious step back in the AL East standings. The jury is still out on that, but the strong performance of Miguel Gonzalez (pictured) in his first start back from the disabled list provided a big lift and Jason Hammel followed it up with a solid 6 2/3 innings Wednesday. All eyes will be on Gausman Thursday night, but the Orioles still need to get Wei-Yin Chen back from the disabled list and get more consistency from the guys at the top of the rotation.
