Philippines prepare

A Philippine navy personnel prepares some of the 447 coffins for transport aboard a navy ship in Manila, to the southern city of Cagayan de Oro to be used for some of the hundreds of dead bodies that have been left rotting in funeral parlours after tropical storm Washi hit the south, leaving about a thousand people dead in flashfloods, overflowing rivers and landslides. The huge number of dead in the storm have swamped local funeral parlours, leaving many dead bodies lying on the floor. Some officials have called for mass burials to deal with the hundreds of bodies which are becoming bloated and emitt a foul odor.
