Southern Romania was paralyzed by heavy snow today, with dozens of national roads cut off and 28 flights to and from Bucharest's airports canceled, Prime minister Emil Boc said. Hundreds of people, including several babies, spent the night stranded in cars, and had to be rescued by authorities in the morning. Two rail lines were closed and 28 villages were deprives of electricity and four ports were shut down. |
