( Getty Images / April 10, 2012 ) A wreath floats in berths 43/44 from where the RMS Titanic set sail on its ill-fated maiden voyage 100 years ago at Southampton dock during a ceremony where descendants of some of those who died on the Titanic paid tribute. Southampton marked the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's fateful maiden voyage to New York on April 10, 1912 with ceremonies and tributes to the over 1,500 people who lost their lives in the disaster, including 549 Southampton residents. |
