Wakefield pitched in the majors from 1992-2011, all but two of those years with the Red Sox, with whom he won two World Series titles. He finished 200-180 with a 4.41 ERA and 2,156 strikeouts. He also hosted "The Next Knuckler" on MLB Network this spring, a competition where he and former teammate Kevin Millar tried to convert former college quarterbacks into knuckleballers.
