Mental toughness is not overrated: The Orioles have won three tight, low-scoring games in a row to hold their place at the top of the AL East standings. They have shown the ability to come back in the late innings and Jim Johnson and Pedro Strop (pictured) have combined to convert all nine save opportunities so far. Clearly, the O's have carried over some of the positive chemistry they developed at the end of last season, and they have scratched out some uplifting victories in spite of a key injury to hot-hitting Nolan Reimold and the illness that has sidelined Johnson.Getty Images
