Robert and Roberts: Robert Andino, pictured, did a solid job of replacing Brian Roberts during the 13 months that he was recovering from the effects of multiple concussions. Andino also showed real class when Roberts returned and he had to step back into a super utility role that cost him significant playing time. But that adjustment clearly was more difficult than he or manager Buck Showalter expected. Andino struggled badly at the plate while he moved in and out of the lineup at third base and didn’t really wake up until Roberts went on the disabled list this week. He hit a huge home run on Tuesday night and had a couple more big hits in Wednesday’s victory. Coincidence? Probably not.
