And Orioles fans just gasped. Swisher, 32 in November, is a guy who's easy to hate from afar with his boisterous personality and his continual griping at the plate every time a call doesn't go his way. But the Yankees outfielder is also about as consistent as they come, hitting 20 or more homers in eight straight seasons while driving in 82 or more in each of his last four. Orioles' bottom line: As a player, he may be the best fit of any free agent. He can play first base and the outfield. He is a switch-hitter with pop, a high OBP and playoff experience. But the organization has put a priority on clubhouse chemistry and he's a much different personality.
