Indonesian growth forecast

Indonesia's central bank cut its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 7.25 percent on May 5, to mitigate the impact of the global downturn on Southeast Asia's largest economy. The central bank forecast that Indonesia's growth in 2009 would reach about three to four percent, thanks to robust domestic demand and better-than-expected value of exports.
