Protesters wearing skull masks join hundreds of others in a rally at Mendiola Bridge near the Presidential Palace in Manila to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the declaration of martial law by the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The protesters likened the martial law era to the present government as they accused President <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT007530" title="Gloria Macapagal Arroyo" href="/topic/politics/gloria-macapagal-arroyo-PEPLT007530.topic">Gloria Macapagal Arroyo</a>'s government of allegedly employing "Martial Law tactics" including human rights violations, economic plunder, abductions and killings of activists.
