Glimpsed at Sascha's 527: Marina Piccininni

It doesn't matter whether she's performing onstage somewhere around the world, or teaching a class at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Floutist Marina Piccininni, 45, is always the epitome of what she calls "classic" style. When the Vienna, Austria resident stopped by Sascha's 527 for an art show before rushing off to teach, she was wearing a black jersey wrap dress by Brazilian designer Cas, whom she has an affinity for because her mother is Brazilian. Piccinini picked up her coat at the Burberry store in London, her necklace at the Swarovski store in Vienna and bought her bag at the Louis Vuitton store. Her brown Todd Oldham pointy toe boots are her go-to's. "I got them 20 years ago for $20 on sale. They are so comfortable." Piccininni says she loves boots in general, as well as leather jackets. "Those things are my weakness," she said. "Everyone laughs at me. I don't have enough."
