The Orioles claimed right-hander Todd Redmond off of waivers from the Cincinnati Reds on Feb. 8. The 27-year old pitcher started one game for the Reds last season. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2004 but was traded to the Atlanta Braves for Tyler Yates in 2008 and eventually to the Reds for Paul Janish last year. He was a combined 8-11 with a 3.63 ERA in 26 games (25 starts) at Triple-A for Atlanta and Cincinnati last year. He is 71-61 with a career 3.58 ERA in 207 minor league games (200 starts) in eight seasons.
