Catching the ball: No one is going to make the case that the Orioles are a great defensive team, but the situation has stabilized considerably over the past week. They have not made an error since last Thursday, when a fielding miscue by Nick Johnson cost Brian Matusz two unearned runs and, in all likelihood, the decision in a game the Orioles went on to win on a couple of eighth-inning homers by Adam Jones and Chris Davis (pictured). If you want to give somebody a gold star, Davis has made a number of big saves at first base.
