Jim and Trisha Grim have two pooch pals in their Hunt Valley home. Liberty, a 4-year-old Weimaraner, is a rescue from a kill shelter, and Lucky, a 3-year-old Labrador/golden retriever mix, was adopted from a family in Bel Air. To pass the time, Liberty steals Lucky¿s toys and hides them under the bed where Lucky can't reach them. Lucky, meanwhile, will stare down Liberty from across the room until he engages him to play. Their favorite food is leftover pizza crusts, and their favorite activities are going on walks, standing in the window guarding the neighborhood or waiting for the Grims to return home, and sleeping (Lucky, in the sun; Liberty, under the bed). Without fail, at 6 each morning, the come to the top of the bed and stand there until the Grims let them under the covers. If Lucky and Liberty had a motto for life, Trisha Grim says, it would be: "We run this place."
