On the job or off, Dave Jenkins, 65, has always been known for his "preppy" style. The district partner at Brio Tuscan Grille was a welcoming sight at the Inner Harbor eatery in a navy Ralph Lauren Polo sweater vest from Macy's over a hunter green and white gingham shirt from Brooks Brothers and a pair of Nordstrom khakis. His tan Cole Haan penny loafers came from Nordstrom. Of course, we can't forget his trademark bow tie. On this particular evening, it was a yellow silk number from Nordstrom. In fact, the Kent Island resident swears he's never worn a long tie. His explanation? "I spent most of my adult life in Georgetown [Washington, D.C.], where it's very preppy. Before that, I have to blame Mom for dressing me in a bow tie."
