Caitlin Nicholl, 25, loves to play with trends. But she keeps her new role as an attorney at the Law Offices of Peter T. Nicholl in mind in her "classic on-trend, but professional" style. "When I was a law clerk, I could wear what I wanted, but not now that I'm practicing," says the Federal Hill resident. At the Meals On Wheels of Central Maryland Culinary Extravaganza, Nicholl started with a brown knit short-sleeve OC by Oleg Cassini dress that featured an empire waist and gathered front pockets, which she bought at Nordstrom. She added brown leather Sofft peep-toe Mary Janes from zappos.com, a cream leather Kate Spade tote from Bloomingdales and an acrylic bangle bracelet and gold hoop earrings, both of which were gifts. But key to her look was her BCBG fawn-colored suede jacket from Nordstrom. It's a fashion trick she learned from her fashion icon, the new Duchess of Cambridge, better known -- until recently -- as Kate Middleton. "I like the way she pairs jackets with dresses."
