Michael Fernandez, 27, does more than look like a rockstar. The Baltimore native now lives in Los Angeles pursuing his dreams of becoming one, as Sir Michael Fernandez. Back in town, he stopped by the Intercontinental Harbor Court Hotel with friends for Fashion's Night Out, showing a personal style he describes as "homme hippie." Fernandez modeled a red paisley cotton Vertigo shirt with stonewash skinny Levi jeans -- both from thrift shops. He added green vintage Trimm-Trab Adidas from Soles in Miami and 1969 Stendahl sunglasses from Rag-O-Rama in Atlanta. He picked up his red coral Buddha head bead bracelet at the Melrose Place Farmers Market in L.A. Fernandez says his brown leather and sterling macramé bracelet, wooden bead bracelet and marble bead bracelet were all made by Kyle Johnson. He found the cotton scarf he's twisted into a necklace at a swap meet in La Brea, Cali., and his Brazilian amethyst and copper ring was purchased from a Brazilian jewelry designer in Soho, New York City. When it comes to his personal style, Fernandez has several rules. He likes to look "like I just woke up." He dresses to "make women smile." And "audacity always wins."
