Professional indie jazz vocalist Karla Chisholm, 32, makes what she calls her "vintage-inspired classic" style sing at the RAW Baltimore Provocations event at Luckie's Tavern. The Columbia resident says she looks for texture and fit when she shops for pieces to suit her style. Chisholm wore a black velvet Forever 21 corset top with a metallic mauve ballet skirt with a tulle underskirt and an exposed zipper in the back, which she purchased at Dollhouse. She also found the cranberry and antique gold statement necklace at Dollhouse. She finished off the look with black suede Aldo stiletto sandals. Musical history also plays into her look. "Tonight, I was thinking about the dresses Ginger Rogers wore, she says. They don't make any sense, but she danced, they flowed...But I always want [my look] to be a little edgy. I grew up listening to punk rock."
