Shelley Mazer, 61, believes in a personal style that's conservative, tailored; less is more. That didn't keep the retired nurse/acupuncturist from dazzling in black and white at the Toast & Roast of Tom Hall party at the Hunt Valley Inn. The Federal Hill/Otterbein resident sported a white and black sequined black jersey dress from White House/Black Market, black tights, and black patent leather and suede platform Mary Janes from the Nine West store. Mazer got her diamond circle pendant at Nelson Coleman Jewelers and has had her black sequined clutch for years. Ever since she retired, Mazer says her attitude about shopping for clothes has changed. I've gotten away from investment dressing. Now, I'll [buy a less expensive piece] that I wear for as long as I love it. Then I throw it away or give it away with ease.
