There are some things you can expect from Diane Meidl. The 32-year-old manager of Inkworks Tattoo in Artesia, Calif., almost always wears black or earth tones. "And I always wear my 'Hello Kitty' necklace." But, after that, Meidl's style can vary. "I guess I'm a little funky, a little edgy, a little '80s and a little Wisconsin," she says with a laugh. Whatever it is, it was working when we "glimpsed" her at the Baltimore Tattoo Arts Convention at the Sheraton City Center Hotel. Meidl had layered a black cotton knit cropped military jacket from Forever 21 over a black Phoebe & Lola cardigan from Loehmann's, which was in turn layered over a white, gold and silver asymmetrical graphic American Rag tank from Macy's and black skinny Volcom jeans. She picked up her handbag at the Louis Vuitton store in San Francisco, and her black leather Steve Madden platform cage sandals at DSW Shoe Warehouse. Her ever-present white gold and diamond Hello Kitty necklace was made for her by her friend, jewelry designer Jamee Nicole, and her earrings came from Target.
