Hand-me-downs may have a bad rep with some folks. Not so for Janie Gurfinchel. The 23-year-old 98 Rock account executive covets the clothes she gets from her mother and grandmother. In fact, those -- and other vintage pieces -- make up most of the Pikesville resident's wardrobe. Here she is at work in an '80s white cotton knit turtleneck and navy high-waisted Donna Karan trousers from the early '90s -- both hand-me-downs from mom. So is the Coldwater Creek white ribbed wrap. She double-wrapped a vintage maroon print fringe scarf -- that was her grandmother's -- and tied it around her waist as a belt. The Raymond Weil watch and vintage silver poison bottle pendant, with its Turkish semi-precious stone and embellished silver, were also given to her by her grandmother. Gurfinchel made the look current with some black double-buckle mid-calf Tory Burch boots and a Louis Vuitton bag, both of which she bought in Miami. She's collected her bracelets from trips to Sicily and Milan, Italy, St. Bart's, and Peru. When she travels in this country, she also has some fun shopping. "I always stop in at least three vintage shops, and get at least one piece in each of them."
