Glimpsed at Work: Hollis Robbins

Hollis Robbins didn't let a little rain get in the way of her rocking an outfit filled with hot designers. When we spotted her near the Johns Hopkins bus stop near <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCUL000052" title="Peabody Conservatory" href="/topic/entertainment/music/peabody-conservatory-ORCUL000052.topic">Peabody Conservatory</a>, the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100603010700" title="Charles Village" href="/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/baltimore/charles-village-PLGEO100100603010700.topic">Charles Village</a> resident stood out in her Tahari skirt and jacket from Nordstrom. Her shoes are from Nordstrom. Her Michael Stars blouse was gently layered with a <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PRDCAS0000477" title="Emilio Pucci" href="/topic/services-shopping/clothing-accessories-shoes/emilio-pucci-PRDCAS0000477.topic">Emilio Pucci</a> scarf. The combination broke up the darker colors of the skirt and jacket. Her pearl necklace, earrings and Arcadia bag were all gifts. "My outfit has to match without thinking about it," said Robbins, a 48-year-old professor of humanities at Peabody Conservatory. Not exactly sure how she did it using that formula, but mission accomplished.
