Glimpsed at Work: Amy Quarles

When you ask Amy Quarles, 35, to describe her style, the first words you hear are "cheap and thrifty." But, when we "glimpsed" the Remington resident at her job as graphics and production coordinator at Visit Baltimore, it was clear that her sense of design extended to her wardrobe. Quarles wore a beige and red striped 3/4 sleeve Lucca Couture T-shirt she found online with a camel and black linen Gap A-line skirt. She added leopard peep-toe wedges from Target, a long brass Y-necklace with an iron pyrite nugget pendant from Urban Outfitters and an antique gold plastic big link bracelet she's had for years. She found her gray canvas slouch bag at American Apparel. Quarles admits she does like to bring a "'60s-'70s vibe" to her style. "I like simple lines. I don't like a lot of sparkly and ruffles." But, she does like to provide punch with big rings and shoes. "I love ridiculous shoes; in bright colors or with big platforms."
