The longest run totals 1.4 miles, with a trail breakdown of 23 percent beginner, 35 percent intermediate and 42 percent expert. Located on the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wintergreen Resort features 26 slopes, two tubing parks and two terrain parks. What's new: Wintergeen Resort has made upgrades to its snow-making system. The only ski area on the East Coast to have all of its terrain covered by automated snowmaking, the resort doubled its snow production to add new trails and give customers more terrain sooner. What it costs: Weekday ticket prices range from $35 to $60 for adults and $30 to $50 for children and seniors. Weekend tickets range from $35 at night to $82 for an adult extended session pass, and $30 at night to $65 per extended pass for children and seniors.
