You have repeatedly vowed to repeal the Bush income tax cuts for those who earn more than $250,000 a year, but that alone will not begin to eliminate the budget deficit. What sacrifices -- in the form of tax increases, the elimination of deductions or spending cuts -- would you impose on the middle and working classes? In Charlotte, you said you would support reasonable steps to shore up Social Security. What are they? Do you support changing the retirement age, adding means testing or increasing the amount of income subject to Social Security taxes? How would you extend the life of the Medicare trust fund?
