Khadijah Boone, 32, was a standout at the Chimes gala in several ways. First, there was the cute ruffled trench coat the Owings Mills resident was wearing when she arrived, which first appeared to be a cool coat dress. However, her black-and-white ensemble underneath was even better, incorporating a couple of this season's hot trends ¿ color-blocking and peplums ¿ in a style that was spot-on. Finally, there was the whole reason Boone, who works as a medical technician at the ExpressCare Urgent Care Center, had come to the gala. She had brought one of Chimes' clients ¿ a woman for whom she has been helping provide home care and support for several years ¿ to make sure her charge could also enjoy the evening's festivities. HER STYLE: "Fly and fun." WHAT SHE WAS WEARING: Cream and black color-blocked dress with peplum from topshop.com. Black suede Steve Madden platform pumps from Nordstrom. Black crinkle patent leather cutout handle Express clutch. Big watch from the Michael Kors store. Gold filigree and black crystal stud earrings, and a faux milky quartz and gold ring from Forever 21. HER FAVORITE FAVES: "Bebe and Arden B. and the new Federal Hill boutique, Lovelace Showroom. I go on the Internet and look at the celebrities and see what they're wearing. ... I try to mimic what they have on. ... Rihanna. I love her because she's out-of-the-box sometimes." WHAT SHE'S SECRETLY CRAVING NOW: A gold sequined peplum top from Bebe. "I must have that. I will be getting that for the Christmas holidays."
