Playing in his first game as an Oriole -- and only in the lineup because starter Matt Wieters had been removed earlier for a pinch-runner -- reserve catcher Teagarden (above) hit a walkoff, two-run homer in the 13th inning against Detroit on Jim Palmer's statue unveiling day. It was Teagarden's first hit as an Oriole and it was shown nationally on Fox. Also on Fox was Teagarden's accidental four-letter slip-up in a postgame interview after he was hit in the face with a shaving cream pie. He didn't realize the cameras picked it up until his mom called him later that night. Hey, "stuff" happens.
