There may not have been a more polarizing high school story in 2011 than the one that unfolded after Perry Hall's boys soccer team celebrated a 2-1 regional quarterfinal victory over Dulaney with a dance modeled from the movie "Weekend at Bernie's." Replicating the dance that's also performed by the Ravens' Ray Rice and Terrell Suggs, the Gators drew the ire of Dulaney fans, whose complaints initially led to Perry Hall principal George Roberts forcing his team to forfeit its semifinal game. With the story going national and Gators supporters -- Suggs and Rice among them -- arguing that the dance was more misunderstood than lewd, Roberts reversed his decision and revived the team's title hopes. Perry Hall went on to reach the Class 4A state semifinals. And no, the Gators didn't celebrate any of those subsequent wins with "The Bernie."
