I'm not sure exactly what's going on with Dickson's hands. Maybe he dropped this many passes at Oregon, and that's part of the reason he slipped in the draft. Or maybe he's just making the adjustment to the NFL after not seeing a lot of playing time as a rookie. Either way, I feel like he's averaged about a drop per game this year. Meanwhile, Pitta catches pretty much everything thrown his way. He's clearly not as explosive at Dickson. He probably wouldn't have been able to outrun Polamalu the way Dickson did in Week 1, but overall, he just runs better routes and finds holes in coverage better. I'm not surprised at all Flacco was looking to him a ton Sunday. Pittsburgh's linebackers couldn't cover him. They're lucky he didn't roast them for more yardage. Luckily for the Ravens, it's not the case of choosing one over the other. Baltimore has had a lot of success using two tight ends recently, and it's creating matchup problems for other teams. In the last two weeks, he's caught 11 passes for 90 yards.
