( Baltimore Sun photo by Gene Sweeney Jr. / June 10, 2011 ) Arrieta, coming off surgery to remove a bone spur from his throwing elbow, said he feels like a totally different pitcher. The righty feels healthy for the first time in a long time — he said he pitched with the spur throughout a season that he began with a 9-4 record (he finished 10-8). The Orioles are short on experience in their rotation, and even though Arrieta, 25, has just 40 major league starts to his name, it will be interesting to see him as a "full-go." If all goes well, he could not only make the rotation, but could be a top-of-the-rotation starter. |
