Linda Hershey, 63, is pictured at her home in Denver, PA. Her nose was removed in December of 2007 due to squamous cell cancer. She subsequently underwent radiation treatment. Her new nose is being reconstructed with grafts from various parts of her body by Patrick J. Byrne, Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Being diagnosed with cancer and the subsequent medical procedures have taken a toll on her physicially and emotionally.
