Gilman's 13-8 win over Calvert Hall in the MIAA A Conference final gave the Greyhounds plenty of reason to celebrate. But the game from 2011 that everyone will remember was the Greyhounds' stunning comeback victory over Boys' Latin in the semifinals. Gilman scored three man-down goals in the final 1:02 of regulation to tie the game, and then the winner 3:08 into overtime to defeat the Lakers, 7-6. Senior Ryan Tucker scored three of the Greyhounds' final four goals, including the game-winner. "I've never seen anything like that," Gilman coach Brooks Matthews said. "I'm just glad we came out on the right end of that one." With its second A Conference title in three years, the Greyhounds finished 13-5.
