The BWI Cardio Trail includes two loops, that are one kilometer, or .6 of a mile, in distance.
One loop runs along the public side of the main airport terminal. The second trail runs throught Concourses A and B, which serves
and Airtran Airways.
The paths are recognized by the
as official walking paths. The association says walking is an easy and effective way for people to adopt healthier lifestyles with more physical activity. It recommends that people walk at least 30 minutes a day.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk each loop, airport officials said. Logos and directories will guide walkers along the paths.
BWI Marshall also has a 12.5 mile outdoor trail, completed in 1994, that encircles the airport property. The BWI Trail, which was completed in 1994, is an outstanding recreational resource for travelers, visitors, and local residents.
