My story for tomorrow's paper talks about the West Virginia-Maryland series. I asked Mountaineers coach Dana Holgorsen about the rivalry, and he said it still matters.
I think it's got everything a rivalry needs to foment a healthy, non-violent hatred.
Of course, what it's lacking lately is balance. The Mountaineers have won the past six meetings.

West Virginia is already on Maryland's schedule through 2017. If you're a Terps fan, you're hoping Maryland starts winning a few of these games to restore some of the luster to a series that began in 1919.
Next year's Maryland-West Virginia game will be held at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium -– the first Terps contest at the Ravens' stadium since the Navy game that opened the 2010 season.
