Nupur Parekh Flynn, 38, was not only co-chair of the Walters' "Gala 2012." She was the belle of the ball in a couture gown from Gauri & Nainika, a top designing team from India. "They are two sisters who are based in New Delhi. They are the most sought-after designers in Bollywood," says the Federal Hill resident. The Brown Capital Management co-director of marketing says her heritage plays a big part in her look. "Coming from an Indian family -- though I was born in the U.S. -- you can imagine the colors, the fabrics and the jewelry." Flynn and her husband, Guy Flynn, DLA Piper Maryland real estate practice chairman, also rely on several jewelers in India who are family friends. HER STYLE: "Elegance with a flair. ... I love putting things together. I love color, fabrics. To me, fashion is so much a representation of a person's creativity." WHAT SHE'S WEARING: A gown in three shades of pink tulle ordered for the gala from gauriandnainika.com. Necklace, earrings, ring and bracelet all custom-made by jewelers in Bombay -- gifts from her husband. Sunglasses from Gucci to honor the evening's Elvis theme. HER WORDS TO LIVE BY: "When we got married, we asked our parents if they had any words of wisdom. I distinctly remember my dad saying, 'Do everything in excess, and never take yourself too seriously.' In other words, have a blast."
