Gray Scale winner

The winner for this week's Reader SunShots contest "Gray Scale" goes to John Jake Jakubik for his picture shot at the Grand Tetons National Park. The picture was shot with a Canon 20D dedicated to infared and the image was converted to black and white. Here is a critique by Baltimore Sun director of photography Robert Hamilton. "This was a very strong category with a lot of great photography. The winning image is a beautiful photograph and reminds me of a throwback to the days of Ansel Adams. This spot in the Grand Tetons is very popular with photographers and seeing this image, it's easy to understand why."
