Ravens left guard Ben Grubbs back at practice (UPDATED WITH INJURY REPORT)

Ravens guard

Ben Grubbs

playfully warned reporters to not ask him any questions about the toe injury that has kept him out since the first week of the season against the

Pittsburgh Steelers

His response essentially was, when he is ready to play, we'll see him out there.

Grubbs did indeed participate in today's practice, albeit on a limited basis. Obviously, how he responds later in the week will be far more important, but his presence at practice today is at least a good sign.

Running back

Anthony Allen

(thigh), center

Matt Birk

(neck) and cornerback

Danny Gorrer

(thigh) also were practicing. Allen and Gorrer were inactive for last Sunday's 30-27 victory over the

Arizona Cardinals

One prominent addition to today's injury report for the Ravens was defensive tackle

Haloti Ngata

. He didn't practice with a thigh injury. Wide receivers

Lee Evans

(ankle) and

David Reed

(ankle) and linebacker

Dannell Ellerbe

(hamstring) also didn't practice.

For the Steelers, linebackers

LaMarr Woodley

James Harrison

(eye) and

James Farrior

(calf), wide receiver

Hines Ward

(ankle) and tackle

Jonathan Scott

(ankle) were all listed as limited participants.

Doug Legursky

(toe) and wide receiver

Emmanuel Sanders

(knee) did not practice.

There, however, was no sign of wide receiver Lee Evans (ankle), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and wide receiver/kick returner David Reed.

Evans and Ellerbe have been out with injuries so their absence is not a huge surprise. There have been no reported injuries for Ngata and Reed so I can't say yet why they weren't out there.
