Baltimore State's Attorney Patricia Jessamy said a grand jury has indicted the two men arrested in the fatal shooting of former city councilman Kenneth Harris.

Charles McGaney, 19, of Baltimore and Gary Collins, 20, of Parkville were indicted on counts including first-degree murder, first-degree assault and related robbery and handgun charges.

Charging documents allege the two men ambushed Harris and the owner of the New Haven Lounge outside the bar on Havenwood Road. Harris was shot as he ran to his car. The owner and his employees were robbed.

The defendants are being held without bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 8.
